8.7 Configure Storage Settings

You can configure to use Dropbox, Confluence or SharePoint for storing qTest Explorer output and embed its link(s) when submitting defect to the defect tracking system if preferred.

Pre-Condition: You need to have a valid account in that storage service to be used in advance.

  1. Click Settings at the right side of the qTest Explorer Editor's title bar.

    Alternatively, click Settings from the Explorer Context Menu.

  2. Locate Storage in the Settings.

  3. Click Default storage to select the storage service to be used. Select None if you don't want to use any storage service.

 

Setting Dropbox as the Default Storage

  1. Select Dropbox from the Default Storage list.

  2. Click Dropbox to connect qTest Explorer with your Dropbox account.

  3. Sign in your Dropbox account in the browser window.

  4. Upon completion, the Storage tab in the Settings dialog will show the successful connection between qTest Explorer and Dropbox.

  5. Click Save to save the settings for subsequent use.

 

Setting Confluence as the Default Storage

  1. Select Confluence from the Default Storage list.

  2. Enter the required information to connect your Confluence storage.

  3. Click Save to save the settings for subsequent use.

 

Setting SharePoint as the Default Storage

  1. Select SharePoint from the Default Storage list.

  2. Enter the required information to connect your SharePoint storage.

  3. Click Save to save the settings for subsequent use.
