5.3.10 Exporting Test Execution Report

qTest allows to export Test Execution in details and with linked defects by Releases, Test Cycles, and Test Suites.

Test Run Detail Report

To export Test Execution Report, you need the Export Test Runs permission.

  1. Select Test Runs/Test Suites/Test Cycle on Execution tree.
  2. Click the Export Test Run Reports icon on the Execution toolbar.
  3. Select Test Run Detail Report
  4. An Export Test Runs window pops up allowing you to:
    • Select available fields (in the left box) to be exported into excel file (moved to the right box) using Move Left and Right buttons.
    • Reorder test case fields to be displayed in excel file using Move Up and Down buttons.
    • Select location on your computer to save the Export Test Run Report.

  • Test Run Report will be exported as a .zip file with attachments file.
  • Only Test Runs, Test Suites, Test Cycles on the same level (i.e. belong to the same parent folder) can be exported.
  • The Export Excel icon will be grey out if you select Test Runs, Test Suites, Test Cycles of different folder.

Test Executions and Defects Report

To export Test Executions and Defects Report, you need the Export Test Runs permission.

  1. Select Test Runs/Test Suites/Test Cycle on Execution tree.
  2. Click the Export Test Run Reports icon on the Execution toolbar.
  3. Select Test Executions and Defects Report
  4. The report will be exported into excel file, including 2 sections: Test Executions properties and Associated Defects
