5.3.8 Copying/Moving Test Run

To copy/cut Test Runs, you need the Create/Edit Test Runs permission.

A. Copy one or multiple Test Runs:

  1. On the Test Execution tree, right-click one or multiple Test Runs and select Copy.
  2. Right-click a target location (Release, Test Cycle, or Test Suite) and select Paste.

B. Cut one or multiple Test Runs:

  1. On the Test Execution tree, right-click one or multiple Test Runs and select Cut.
  2. Right-click a target location (Release, Test Cycle, or Test Suite) and select Paste.

  1. On the Test Execution tree, select one or multiple Test Runs.
  2. To copy, hold Ctrl + Drag Test Runs to the target location (Release, Test Cycle, or Test Suite) and Drop.
  3. To cut, Drag Test Runs to the target (Release, Test Cycle, or Test Suite) and Drop.

C. Copy Test Runs from one Test Suite to another:

  1. On the Test Execution tree, select a Test Suite.
  2. In the Test Runs Grid, filter Test Runs in that Test Suite by Name, Version, Status, etc.
  3. Select all or only filtered Test Runs in that Test Runs Grid.
  4. Click the Copy to Test Suite button on the Test Runs Grid.
  5. In the Copy to Test Suite Pop-up, select the target Test Suite.
  6. Click the Copy to button to confirm the Copy. All selected Test Runs will be copied to the target Test Suite.

    • All moved Test Runs' properties and status will remain unchanged.
    • All copied Test Runs' status is Unexecuted.
    • Copied/Moved Test Runs will change Target Release according to their new target location.
    • Test Runs CANNOT be copied to Test Suites across projects.
