Major Features

 1.     New JIRA 5+ integration:

New free add-on for JIRA Download Instances versions 5 and newer that provides real-time integration for both defects and requirements.  This new integration will replace the current defect-only JIRA integration.

NOTE:  For those using JIRA OnDemand, the existing integration will remain unchanged.  Projects that are currently integrated with JIRA OnDemand will not require any changes.  New projects can still connect to JIRA OnDemand using the existing qTest integration for defects.

Integration can be applied on both defects and requirements

 Defect ticket integration:

With this integration, the qTest integration module will be turned off.  The integration lets users submit defects to JIRA while executing a qTest test case on Testpad.  Users benefit from the higher degree of visibility attained through the exchange of detailed test execution, test case and defect information between the two solutions.

    • 1-to-1 mapping between JIRA projects and qTest projects
    • Direct use of JIRA credentials ensures the proper application of JIRA submission permissions
    • View JIRA defects inside of qTest either as a specific ticket or as part of a JIRA filter
    • Auto-fill test execution details into JIRA defect tickets’ automatically, minimize effort to complete ticket details

Requirement ticket integration:

This feature enables users to manage requirements tickets in JIRA as usual, while a copy of these tickets will appear in qTest and co-exist with other qTest native requirements.  The mapped JIRA requirements aid the test case creation process as well as create requirement-to-test case traceability matrix.

    •  Easily select JIRA requirement tickets to import into qTest using smart filters
    • JIRA requirements can co-exist with qTest requirements
    • Changes to JIRA requirement tickets are reflected real-time in qTest
    • Track requirements tickets against test cases and test execution
    • Receive test coverage reports for your JIRA requirement tickets
    • Easily access a detailed traceability matrix report of requirement and test case associations
