Create a New Project
Each team inside of qTest Pulse has their own projects that can be configured in multiple ways. Therefore, when adding a new project you will need to access your team first.
- To access this page, hover over your username and then click on Teams. Then select the team's edit box to add a new project.
- To manually create a new project, you can use [+ Project] button. After you create a project, you configure the project to synchronize with Jira.
To edit a project, you need to navigate to the team that project belongs to first via user icon -> Profile option -> Teams tab then open the team by clicking on its name in Teams list.
Next, click on the project name to update any information on the project.
Alternatively, you can select the project settings gear icon on the activity board of each project.
Components are a great way to prioritize and organize your test activities. The components tab list components available for resources belonging to the project such as work items and test cases.
You can add more new components for the project by using [+ Components] button. Once the button is clicked, a component modal show up and you need to specify a component name only.
If you are integrated with Jira, all components from your Jira project will be pulled into qTest Pulse project components.
Sprints tab displays the list of sprints the project has. Sprints can be created by users or synchronized from Jira.
To add a new sprint manually, you can select the [+Sprint] button.
If you are integrated with Jira, all sprints from your Jira project will be pulled into qTest Pulse project sprints. This allows you to quickly filter work items on the activity board by sprint name.
Releases tab displays the list of releases the project has been launched to customers. Whenever a version is released, you can track it by creating a new release for the project by using [+Release] button.
If you are integrated with Jira, all releases from your Jira project will be pulled into qTest Pulse project releases. This allows you to quickly filter work items on the activity board by release name.
