3.pngSelect Yes to be redirected to the Settings form.

noteBtn.png Refer to the Configure Tracker Settings section for detailed information on integration setup.

4.pngClick the Submit button again when the tracker has been set up. The Submit to Assembla form displays with a list of fields that are considered the most important for new defect submissions.

noteBtn.png "Space" is a foundation field that drives the rest of the fields on the submission form. The foundation field is unlikely to change and its selection is automatically saved for subsequent use. Other fields are non-foundation fields and are configurable in Manage Fields form. You can also choose to display additional fields and set default value for these non-foundation fields in the Manage Fields form. Refer to Manage Fields for details.

5.pngSpecify the required data on the submission form and click the Submit button to proceed.

6.pngYou will see a confirmation message when the upload is complete. You can click on the defect ID link to view the defect detail in a Web browser.

Manage Fields

The Manage Fields form allows you to add more fields or remove existing fields on the submission form.

1.pngClick the Manage Fields link on the submission form. The Manage Fields form displays.

2.pngCheck the Show checkbox to display the selected field on the submission form. The fields shown on submission form will be submitted to corresponding fields in Assembla. Refer to the Assembla Fields table below for details.

3.pngUncheck the Show checkbox to hide the selected field on the submission form. qTrace does not submit these hidden fields to Assembla.

4.pngSet the default value by selecting a value from the field's dropdown list or typing the value in the text box.

5.pngSave the settings for subsequent use. Refresh the submission form to see the change.

The table below summarizes the fields supported in qTrace and which fields will be displayed by default (until you click Manage Fields to show or hide certain fields). The table includes pre-defined fields and custom fields in Assembla. You can configure field changes in Assembla and refresh the submission form to see the changes on qTrace.
